Sudoku With Friends

Solve the same sudoku together, live. Everyone sees every number the moment it's placed, and each player's colour shows who is working where.

Start a co-op room

You sign in with Google to host a room. Friends join from your invite link, as guests if they like, with no account needed.

How it works

  1. 1Start a room and pick a difficulty.
  2. 2Copy the invite link and send it to your friends.
  3. 3Everyone presses Ready, and the puzzle appears for all of you at once.
  4. 4Fill it in together. When the last cell is right, you have solved it as a team.

Why solve sudoku together

Two people see a grid differently. One spots a hidden single in a box while the other works through a row, so a hard puzzle that would stall one player keeps moving with two.

Your pencil marks stay private, so everyone can think their own way, and the board only shows the numbers someone has committed to. It works as well on a phone as on a laptop.

Questions

Do my friends need an account?

No. Anyone with your invite link can join as a guest with just a nickname. If they sign in later to keep their games, they keep their seat in the room.

How many people can play together?

There is no fixed limit, but sudoku works best with two to four people on one board.

Can we play on phones?

Yes. The board works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, and everyone can use a different device.

How do I play sudoku with friends online?

Open a room, send the invite link to your friends and press Ready. The same puzzle appears on everyone's screen at the same moment, and every number anyone places shows up for all of you live. No app to install: it runs in the browser on phones and computers.

Does it work over Discord, Zoom or Teams?

Yes. Paste the invite link in your call's chat; everyone plays on their own screen while you talk. Nothing to connect, since the game itself runs in the browser.

What happens if someone makes a mistake?

A number that breaks a rule is refused straight away. A number that is allowed but wrong stays on the board until someone notices, just like on paper, and the hint button can point it out.
