Sudoku Battle

Race your friends on the same puzzle. Everyone solves on their own board, you can see how far each rival has got, and the first to finish wins.

Start a battle

You sign in with Google to host a battle. Rivals join from your invite link, as guests if they like, with no account needed.

How it works

  1. 1Start a room and choose Battle mode and a difficulty.
  2. 2Send the invite link to the people you want to race.
  3. 3When everyone is ready, the same puzzle appears on every board at the same moment.
  4. 4Race. Progress bars show how many cells each player has filled, never their numbers. The first correct finish wins.

Fair by design

Everyone gets the identical puzzle, made fresh for the race and with exactly one solution. Your board is private: rivals see how many cells you've filled, but not which numbers, and not whether they're right.

Hints are switched off in battle, so the race is decided by solving, not by pressing a button. Mistakes are counted and shown in the results at the end, next to the winning time.

Questions

Can I play sudoku 1v1?

Yes. Invite one friend for a head-to-head race, or bring a group: everyone races on the same puzzle.

How is the winner decided?

The first player to complete their whole board correctly wins, and the race ends for everyone. The results show the winning time, how far each player got and their mistakes.

Can my opponent see my board?

No. They only see how many cells you have filled. Your numbers, and whether they are right, stay hidden.

Does my opponent need an account?

No. With your invite link they can join as a guest using just a nickname.
